The moderate Mediterranean climate is sunny summers with warmth that continues into the fall. Off season is just as beautiful and sometimes winter will cover the land in a delicate layer of snow. This area gets it’s fair share of rain, but has 15% less rainfall than the mainland. The unique environment of Galiano and the stunning Gulf Islands is protected by the Islands Trust.
Galiano is known for its outdoor recreational opportunities, such as hiking, biking, kayaking and more. There are wooded hiking trails and well marked beach accesses to explore.
